Interview : Sandra Chauvin - Associate at the Axile firm (management team consulting)
My job is to step in when management or staff relations get tricky. This can happen when procedures change, when people are transferred to new locations, when new hires arrive, or when there is conflict. My objective is then to understand their operating concerns while providing a protective framework and stimulating potential resources.
How did you come across Châteauform’?
Through one of my clients and some of my peers. I am lucky to have been to several houses, like Bellinglise, Crécy-la-Chapelle, La Forteresse, La Princesse, Le Manoir, Les Mesnuls, Les Près d'Ecoublay, Mareil-le-Guyon, Neuville-Bosc, Nointel, Romainville in the Ile de France, Sur le pouce Vélasquez in Paris, and Le Mas Sant Joan in Spain, which I discovered through your "Les Maisons de Katy et Jacques" holiday concept.
What are your expectations when you come to our houses?
Châteauform' provides an atmosphere that helps you to take a step back and leave your everyday worries behind. Axile's genuine, unique "personality" comes through in its home-made and tailor-made offerings, which are all but sterile.
Châteauform' also meets one of my other expectations by providing flexibility in each location. This allows me to be involved in different ways and to improvise. All the houses are flexible in the sense that the premises available are diverse, both indoors and out. The service provided is also very flexible in that it adapts to our schedules, and the host couples are always available.
How do you use Châteauform’?
I especially enjoy arranging things like this: arrive on the afternoon before the seminar, go for a walk around 4:00 p.m., then have a picnic dinner. This is a great way to start a team seminar. It helps the participants to relate to one another and it reveals any palpable tension.
What do your participants like?
They like the beauty and friendly atmosphere of your houses, the very personal service, relaxing, and of course the food!
If you had to tell a colleague about Châteauform' for the first time, what would you say?
Just go. You don't have to worry about a thing. Anything is possible. It's a beautiful setting to work in.
Any Châteauform’ memories? A story?
In Romainville, the whole Axile firm came together. The team was newly formed. This was a high point for the team as a whole and for each of us as individuals. It provided the inspiration for our website. That was the day we took the pictures that are on our site. It was intense and it left an impression on all of us. What's good for our clients is good for us too!
